Welcome to my portfolio. I am Jon D. Butler, Artist and Musician. I've lived in Western Massachusetts my entire life thus far.

 

I graduated from Greenfield Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and from The University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Studio Arts with a Concentration in Video.

My professional work includes the position of video editor for Turners Falls River Culture, part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council. I also worked as a Video Artist Assistant for the Brick + Mortar International Video Art Festival in Greenfield, MA.

Outside of Art and Music, I have a deep love for all things in Ancient Greece and Rome, not to mention my passion for Star Wars. I grew up with these things and they have shaped who I am and how I work.

 

Another part of my life which influences my work is the military. All of my brothers have served/ are serving in the Army National Guard. It has given me great respect for those who give up everything for the safety of others. It has inspired me in ways few others have. In my storytelling I often include warriors and heroes. This can be applied to my audio works as well.
